Purpose of the Role

 

Provide day to day supervision of cosmetic counter staff and operations, in support of Sears Mission, Vision and Values. Maximize sales and profitability for the store and cosmetic brand.

 

Major Responsibilities

  1. Perform the responsibilities of a Beauty Advisor as required, including selling, responding to customer inquiries, conducting customer consultations, etc.

  2. Identify performance targets for Beauty Advisors, including sales targets, consultation targets, average transaction value targets, special event appointments, etc. Review and monitor achievement to ensure outstanding customer service.

  3. Supervise and manage the staff and operations of the specified cosmetic counter, including consulting with Sales Manager on staffing needs/schedules, participating in recruitment of new staff, participating in performance assessment, etc., to ensure exceptional customer service and maximization of revenues.

  4. Provide ongoing training/coaching to Beauty Advisors and other staff reporting for continuous improvement, including weekly update meetings with team and one on one, etc.

  5. Plan and organize successful promotions and in-store events in collaboration with the Beauty Advisor team, store management, and the brands identified by the Account Executive.

  6. Promote the brand image through personal image, demonstrating excellence in execution of merchandise and presentation according to standard.

  7. Monitor and maintain the correct active, on-hand merchandise inventory ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained to meet requirements, eg. key selling SKUs and promotion program needs. Notify Merchandise Flow Analyst of supplies required for special events, etc.

  8. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with store management, Headquarters team, and brand vendor partners.

  9. Ensure all associates work in compliance with all laws and regulations and attend and complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents and take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma
  • Apprenticeship program in cosmetics or esthetician
  • A minimum of 6 months of previous work experience
  • Demonstrated supervisory Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
